The UK Government has published its response to the Climate Change Committee (CCC) 2023 progress report to Parliament. The report:
• Outlines progress made since the publication of ‘Powering Up Britain’ in March, asserting that progress continues to be made.
• Reiterates the government’s priorities, demonstrating that the UK will continue to have one of the most ambitious targets in the G20.
• Demonstrates the actions being taken this year, addressing the CCC’s main areas of concern and responding to the CCC’s recommendations.
• Demonstrates the progress being made towards Net Zero against the metrics outlined in the Net Zero Strategy.
